Argot Studio
Eimear Ryan-Rateau is an Irish designer based in Paris and founder of Argot Studio. Striving for a balance between craftsmanship and technology, Argot is aiming to adapt and exploit sustainable design production methods, mainly 3D printing, to realise unique collectible pieces.
After working as an interior designer some years in Paris, she began Argot with a furniture project hand-made by her father in Irish oak, following this she searched for a feasible production method of design adapted to modern day and future constraints, after experimenting with different mediums focused on 3D printing.
Romantic post-modern inspired shapes with future invoking textures, there is a certain air of nostalgia for the hand crafted objects of the past mixed with the intrigue of the future within this 3D printed object.
